Working Behind the Scenes on New Creative Projects

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time working behind the scenes instead of just in front of the camera or at my art table. Some of it may not look very exciting from the outside, but honestly, this kind of work is important if I want to keep growing Darlyssa Designs into something sustainable long term.

One of the things I’ve been focusing on is updating and organizing my Amazon shop page. I’ve wanted a space where I can easily share the art supplies, books, tools, and little creative things I genuinely use and enjoy. Since so many people ask about materials in my videos, it makes sense to slowly build a storefront that connects everything together in one place.

I’m trying to approach it in a realistic way instead of rushing to make everything perfect overnight. Little by little, I’m adding products, organizing categories, and thinking about how I want the page to feel visually. I want it to reflect my creative life, not just look like a random collection of links.

At the same time, I’ve also been planning my new personal lifestyle YouTube channel. This channel will be a little different from my main art channel. Of course creativity will still be part of it because art is such a huge part of my life, but I also want to share more everyday moments, thoughts, routines, local places around South Florida, cozy conversations, and behind-the-scenes pieces of life that don’t always fit neatly into an art tutorial.

I’ve realized over the past few months that storytelling is one of my favorite parts of creating videos. Sometimes the story behind what’s happening at the art table becomes just as meaningful as the project itself. I want this new channel to feel more personal and relaxed, almost like sitting down for coffee and catching up with a friend.

There’s still a lot to organize and figure out, but honestly, that’s part of the process too. Building something creative doesn’t happen all at once. It happens through small consistent steps, experimenting, learning, adjusting, and continuing even when things feel messy behind the scenes.

And with the heat creeping in for summer here in South Florida, that I have to slowly get used to every year, it’s actually felt like the perfect excuse to stay inside, work on ideas, organize projects, and dream a little bigger about where all of this could eventually lead.
